PacTara 25 is a broad spectrum systemic insecticide having quick stomach and contact action and is recommended for its use to control. Stem borer,Gall Midge, Leaf folder, Brown planthopper ( BPH), White Backed Plant Hopper(WBPH), Green Leaf Hopper (GLH), Thrips on Rice, Jassids in Brinjal, mosquito bug in Tea & aphids in Potato, Psylla in Citrus, Aphid in Cumin and GLH thrips, short maggot in rice (nursery), Whiteflies in Tomato (Soil drenching). It contains 250g Thiamethoxam as an active ingredient in a kg of the product (w/w).

Recommendations for thiamethoxam 25 wg

1) In Mango Use Pactara 25 wg ( thiamethoxam 25 wg)  for the pest HOPPERS & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 1000 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 30 days.

2) In Potato for foliar spray Use, Pactara 25 wg for the pest Aphids (myzus persicae) & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 77 days.
In Potato for soil, drench Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest Aphids (myzus persicae) & amount of formulation to be used is 200 gms in 500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 77 days.

3) In Cotton Use Pactara 25 wg ( thiamethoxam 25 wg)  for the pest Jassids, aphids, Whiteflies & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 500-750 liters dilution of water & for Whiteflies amount of formulation to be used is 200 gms in 500-750 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 21 days.

4) In Wheat Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest Aphids & amount of formulation to be used is 50 gms in 500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 21 days.

5) In Tea Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest Mosquito bug ( helopeltis theivora) & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 400-500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 7 days.

6) In Cumin Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest, Mahu & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 15 days.

7) In Tomato foliar spray Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest Whiteflies & amount of formulation to be used is 200 gms in 500 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 5 days.

11) In Okra Use Pactara 25 wg ( thiamethoxam 25 wg) for the pest Jassid, aphid, thrips white flies & amount of formulation to be used is 100 gms in 500-1000 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between last spray to harvest is 5 days.

12) In Mustard Use Pactara 25 wg for the pest Aphids & amount of formulation to be used is 50-100 gms in 500-1000 liters dilution of water. Dosage is Per Hectare. Waiting period between the last spray to harvest is 21 days.

The direction of Use for thiamethoxam 25 wg

Measure out the required quantity of the product and mix it well with a small quantity of water. Add the remaining quantity of water as specified with thorough agitation for total coverage of crop with a suitable sprayer. P.P Equipment:- Knapsack sprayer, foot sprayer, compression knapsack sprayer, compression knapsack battery sprayer, battery operated power sprayer, and ASPEE-HTP power sprayer.

Time of Application of thiamethoxam 25 wg

1. Mango: Hoppers (apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat one or two sprays at 15 days interval depending on the level of pest intensity).
2. Potato: Foliar-application- Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 15 days interval depending on the pest intensity.
Soil drenching – Apply root zone before the appearance of a pest as a soil drench, once during the crop season.
3. Cotton: Apply the First spray at 25-30 DAS or at the time of first pest appearance and repeat 2-3 spray at 15 days interval depending upon pest intensity.
4. Wheat: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat one or two sprays at 15 days interval depending upon pest intensity.
5. Tea: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 15-21 days interval depending on the level of pest intensity.
6. Tomato: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 10-15 days interval depending upon the level of pest intensity.
Soil drenching: Apply root zone before the appearance of a pest as a soil drench, once during the crop season.
7. Rice: One spray at 25-30 DAT in the early stage of the crop for control of early rice pests such as stem borer, gall midge and the other spray at the booting leaf stage (@50 to 55 DAT_ for the control of late rice pests such as GLH, BPH, WBPH etc.
8. Brinjal: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 10-15 days interval depending on the pest intensity.
9. Okra: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 1-2 sprays at 15 days interval depending on the pest intensity.
10. Mustard: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 1-2 sprays at 15 days interval depending on the pest intensity.
11. Citrus: Apply first spray during initial pest appearance and repeat 2-3 sprays at 15-21 days interval depending on the pest intensity.

Precaution for thiamethoxam 25 wg

1. Keep away from foodstuffs, empty foodstuff containers, and animal’s food.
2. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, and skin.
3. Avoid inhalation the spray mist. Spray in the direction of the wind.
4. Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of the body after spraying.
5. Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying.
6. Wear full protective clothing while mixing and spraying.

Symptoms of Poisoning.

Decrease Spontaneous movement, tonic convulsion, ptosis may occur.

First Aid Measures for thiamethoxam 25 wg

1. If swallowed, induce vomiting by tickling the back of the throat. Repeat it until the vomitus is clear. Do not induce vomiting if the patient is unconscious.
2. If clothing and skin are contaminated. Remove the clothes and wash the contaminated skin with a copious amount of soap and water.
3. If eyes are contaminated, flush with plenty of saline/clean water for about 10 to 15 minutes.
4. If inhaled, remove the patient to fresh air.

Antidote.

No such antidote is known for thiamethoxam 25 wg. Treat Symptomatically.

Disposal of used container.

1. Packages or surplus material and washing form machines and containers should be disposed of in a safe manner to prevent environment and water pollution.
2. The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their reuse.
3. Packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.

Storage Conditions for thiamethoxam 25 wg.

1. The packages containing the thiamethoxam 25 wg Insecticide shall be stored in original containers. In separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles of or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key.
2. The rooms or premises meant for storing the insecticide shall be built, dry, well-lit and ventilated. And of sufficient dimensions to avoid contamination with vapor.
